Complimentary Engagement Photos
WDO Photography provides complimentary engagement photos to all our clients. We do this for two reasons. Wedding planning is hard and time consuming. It’s also expensive which is why we want to help reduce some of the stress that comes along with planning your wedding. We also want to help make you comfortable in front of our cameras.
Engagement Photo Locations
Pittsburgh is blessed with a lot of amazing engagement photo locations. The following are a list of popular spots and hidden places in and around Pittsburgh. We broke it down between urban and nature photos but the nice thing is Pittsburgh can offer both of these often very near to each other – sometimes within a short walk.
Urban Engagement Photos
- The Strip District – the Strip is maybe the most popular place to do engagement photos, it’s a short walk into town to some other choice locations and has such a great variety of backgrounds from interesting brick walls and industrial grit to flower vendors and unique shops.
- Pittsburgh’s North Shore – You don’t need to be into sports to like the architecture around the stadiums. Plus there are plazas, fountains, bridges, and lots more.
- Downtown Pittsburgh – Plaza’s, architecture, the Point, from Market Square to the Pennsylvanian there are some amazing places to have your engagement photos taken in downtown Pittsburgh.
- Mt. Washington – Views of the city, unique shops, and did we mention the views of the city? Go late in the evening before sundown for the best shots.
- Oakland – The Universities and the hospitals have some great landscaping and architecture which makes Oakland great for engagement photos. tip: If college is in session aim for a Sunday morning to avoid having to deal with crowds in the background.
Nature Engagement Photos
- Frick Park – Probably the best place to find a variety of natural surroundings in the city of Pittsburgh. With an abundance of trees, trails, streams, meadows full of wildflowers, and marshland Frick is probably the our favorite place to do engagement photos in all of western Pennsylvania.
- Schenley Park – Where Frick might have more choices than Schenley Park Schenley still has a lot to offer including some amazing trails and Phipps which you can shoot around but usually not inside of (officially).
- North Park & South Park – The county parks offer lots of great places to shoot too from the boat-house at North Park to the Maple Springs pond and gazebo at South Park. Boyce and Settlers Cabin have a lot to offer as well but we’ve not shot there very much.
- Raccoon Creek State Park – The wildflower preserve at Raccoon Creek makes for some great engagement photos – there are other locations through the park along with trails and a natural spring that make for great backgrounds.
Other Engagement Photo Locations
