Formal Wedding Portraits
Formal wedding portraits were the first kinds of wedding photography in the later part of the 1800′s many wedding couples would go to the photographers studio to pose for a single wedding photo. It wasn’t until after WWII that wedding photography became anything more than formal wedding portraits. Prior to WWII nearly all film came in sheets and not rolls so it wasn’t practical to do more than take one or a few posed portraits.
Today formal wedding portraits are still a big part of wedding photography. Formal wedding photos are usually the pictures that are printed, framed, and displayed in your home. Even though we employ a more journalistic wedding photography style our understand of lighting and posing will ensure that you and your family will have unforgeable formal portraits that can be printed large and displayed prominently.
